
Dyslexics may “stand out” in the classroom as they think using a different part of their brain, so they come up with original ideas and are often very creative problem solvers. Dyslexia is on a spectrum ranging in severity and there are 7 recognised types of dyslexia.
Dyslexics find it virtually impossible to visualise words they hear or internally “hear” the words they see, so reading is problematic.
Dyslexia is being visually deaf and auditory blind this is why it is considered a learning disability. There is no “cure” for dyslexia, just ways to teach reading, which is proven to work.
